First time spa goers, consider these spa-etiquettes before going to spa’s. They consider mostly common-sense, but a lot of them merit just one more repetition.

  1. Take Shower -  Taking a shower will give you the confidence of being and feeling clean, removing those bad odor, eliminating feeling of unease that come from shyness.
  2. Drink Cool drinks or Tea – Many of the spa centers offers unlimited drinks or complimentary tea.
  3. Get the right service – Do not be afraid to ask the receptionist about different massages and other services that they have. Ask them and you’ll be gladly assisted.
  4. Ask for promo’s and discounts -  Different spas have difference promotion. Often times, if you chose more than one service, say a massage and a facial treatment, you’ll get a bigger discount. Ask also if they offer loyalty card that reward regular customers and clients.
  5. Get the right pressure – Speak up if the massage pressure is too hard or too soft or just right. Unless you’re a regular customer, the staff have no way to know if they are hurting you.
  6. Schedule an Appointment – Call or text before you arrive. It saves you the agony of waiting in the line. In this way, you can tell them if you prefer to be pampered by a male or female staff.
  7. Leave cellphone at home – As much as possible do not bring your cellphone in the SPA. You’ll only disurbed if other person is inadvertetly forget to silent their phone. This is the same way to you.
  8. Speak about Nudity – Massages is done nude. If at any time you fel unease about the process, consider putting on your underwear. You’re the boss.
  9. Speak if you want – some people just want to be silent and others want to talk to masseur or masseuse. Just take the lead.
  10. Dont forget the tip – Yes, its their job to give you a good massage. It wouldn’t hurt if you give your therapist a good dough.
